author, professional writer and editor
I have made a few revisions to my seventh novel (and second in the Harris series), NOT GUILTY. It is available on Amazon in both digital and print on demand versions. A big thank you to my mate "Grumpy" for picking up some bloopers!
Meanwhile I am working on a new novel, along with a number of children's books.
Co-author Leanne Hardinge and I recently completed and printed My Friend Frilly, the first in a proposed series of a children's early-reader books. We have not self-published it yet as I intend seeking a publisher for the series.
Recently a new story Black and White was "long listed" in a Reedsy (international) competition. An updated version is available to read here.
This is what the judges had to say: "Your prose, stark and haunting by turn, evokes such a sense of place and setting — and is commendable in and of itself! But what will really stay with us is the emotional weight of the story. This isn't an easy topic to tackle by any means, which arguably makes it all the more important to do so. And in not shying away from the cruelty and discrimination of apartheid, you've created a story and characters that will stay with readers for a long time."
Fairly recent achievements include a win in the flash fiction section of the Maureen Freer Literary Competition.
My winning entry, Necessity, and a shortlisted entry Father and Son, can be read here.
A while ago three of my stories were selected or publication in an anthology by UK publisher Audio Arcade.
